For this can I wanted to keep the overall design very cold and blue feeling, not just because the name has to do with crying, but it also has to do with the type of hops used to make this beer.
I created icicles coming from the top, and bottom of the can, with little blue hops throughout the design.
I kept the beer tap very similar to the label, by keeping the name in the same font, and keeping the rest very blue, bringing over the icicles and one giant hop in the center.
jamm'd
kettle sour
For Jamm'd I wanted to go with a fun and groovy design.
A fruity kettle sour makes me think of bright inviting colors, so I portrayed that in my design.
There is jam dripping from the top of the can around the name of the beer. I wanted to show a play on the name, "jamm'd" , so I created a jam slimy drip!
I also added little mouths with tongues to show emphasis to the sour part of the beer!
The mouths are both inviting and informational.
Along with adding the description of the beer, I designed the label to have the three fruits in the central panel so customers don't have to read if they don't want to!
I kept my font consistent throughout the can to keep the design cohesive, and the groovy theme prominent. The front is easily readable and inviting to the customer.
